Dans Wiki ils parlent d'un missile AT2: AT2 (Germany, UK, French): SCATMIN Rocket with 28 anti-tank mines and range of 38 km. The Guided MLRS (GMLRS) rocket is being developed under an international cooperative program with the United States, United Kingdom, Italy, France and Germany.

  5. Billion EURO-contract for PUMA IFV Munich, July 6, 2009 - Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) has received the largest single order in its recent history with a commission for series production of the Puma Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV). PSM GmbH (Project System and Management), a joint venture in which KMW and Rheinmetall AG of Düsseldorf each hold a 50% stake, was awarded a contract by the Federal German Defence Technology and Procurement Agency (BWB) for the delivery of 405 newly developed combat vehicles. The total contract value is approximately EUR 3.1 billion. The delivery of the IFVs to the German Bundeswehr will start 2010. The Budget as well as the Defence Committee of the German Parliament (Bundestag) have previously given the green light for the start of what is currently the largest European armaments project for land forces. The PUMA contract is of key significance both for the Bundeswehr and the industry. It sets unique technical standards and will ensure that decisive system skills are retained in Germany, which are vital for maintaining our international competitiveness, said Frank Haun, CEO of KMW, on signing the contract. Puma sets new standards - best possible protection for crew The Puma is the most important modernisation project in the Bundeswehr's armaments procurement programme. It offers its occupants until now unequalled protection against mines, anti-tank weapons and improvised explosive devices commonly encountered in modern conflict areas. Its air portability, its mobility in difficult terrain and its scalability all go to make the Puma a vehicle that will take on important tasks in international conflict management while providing its occupants with the best possible degree of protection. It is also without equal in terms of endurance and firepower. The menless turret design developed by KMW sets new standards, as does a decoupled running gear that is completely isolated from the vehicle bodypan, which means that even at high speeds noise and vibrations inside the vehicle can be reduced in comparison with existing IFVs by around 90 percent. More than 30 years after the Marder IFV entered service with the Bundeswehr, the Puma, with its extended scope of performance, establishes a completely new vehicle category. In international comparison it is taking a leading position among armoured combat vehicles. In September 2002, the German Parliament gave the go-ahead for the new IFV by issuing the development order. It was decided to procure five pre-production series vehicles with a value of around EUR 350 million at the end of 2004. These preseries vehicles are now in service with the Bundeswehr for trials and optimisation having successfully completed numerous tests in March 2009.

  15. ^ I would say no. Near the rear those tubes appear to be to launch cruise missiles and since each set of tubes is a quad I think that is a quite large submarine. Also looking along its length those compartments are small suggesting this sub is the size of a Kilo or bigger in my opinion.

Marine Britannique

A £1bn cost over-run is threatening the future of the publicly-funded project to build Britain's biggest aircraft carriers, the BBC has learnt. A memorandum from the lead contractors seen by the BBC suggests there will "be a fight for the programme's survival". The memo also discusses ways to cut costs, including the possibility of 400 to 500 redundancies. The Ministry of Defence said it was currently re-costing the programme and accounts would be published in July. Work on the two warships - the HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Prince of Wales - had been delayed in December but was due begin soon. They were due to come into service in 2014 and 2016, as the biggest and most powerful warships the UK has ever built. Much of the work is due to place at Scottish shipyards in the Clyde, where 4,000 jobs are dependent on the project. Costs to soar The project's cost is now expected to rise from £3.9bn to around £5bn. The memo was written for the chief executives of the companies participating in the project and attributed the cost increase to "a combination of direct costs, inflation and accounting adjustments". HMS QUEEN ELIZABETH AND HMS PRINCE OF WALES Displacement: 65,000 tonnes Length: 280m (920ft) Width (at flight-deck level): 70m (230ft) Keel to masthead: 56m (184ft) Nine decks (plus flight deck) Speed: 25+ knots Range: 8,000-10,000 miles Aircraft: 36 F-35 Joint Strike Fighters and four Airborne Early Warning aircraft, plus EH 101 Merlin helicopters Crew: 1,450 (including air crew) Weapons: Phalanx close-in weapon systems; 30mm and mini-guns Source: Ministry of Defence "The MOD [Ministry of Defence] will publish its annual report and accounts in July; these will show £1bn of QE Class cost growth and the project will come under severe pressure through the opposition and the media," the memo said. "This is a very real fight for the programme's survival," it adds. The memo also suggests the future of the Appledore shipyard in Devon could be under threat and possible measures to reduce costs include "substantial redundancies" of the order of 400 to 500. The BBC's business editor Robert Peston said the increase in costs would be seen as alarming, especially at a time when there are intense pressures on the government to cut public spending. He added that if the project was scrapped, the knock-on effects would be serious. For example, some 80,000 tonnes of steel worth £65m has been ordered from Corus, the beleaguered Anglo-Dutch steelmaker. A consortium of companies are involved in the project including BAE System, VT Group, Babcock and Thales. BAE Systems said that the delay to the project announced earlier was always expected to lead to an increase in costs. The work is split between various yards, including Portsmouth, Rosyth, and Hebburn.
I have heard that our KD Tunku Abdul Rahman (TAR) was recently involved in war games with one of the French SSNs after weeks of preparations that resulted in only turning in for sleep in the early mornings for the crew. It was a complete privilege for the crew in being able to track the SSN all the way through out the war game period. Alhamdulillah, KD TAR won 10 - 0 against SSN Rubis despite early worries whether our crew and boat can beat the OHiggins record of 6-1 wins against the French SSN previously, that resulted in nervousness in our crew when going into the games. I understand that the 10-0 win meant that our boat could hold contact for a given period, with enough time to establish a firing solution in order to conduct a simulation firing against the SSN, where later it was received and acknowledged through Underwater Transmission (UWT) that the target fired against was the opposing boat When the inspectorate staff from the French Navy ALFOST embarked in KD TAR for the final week tactical examination, they had admitted their defeat and that based on the post battle report, the other submarine could only track KD TAR 5 times during the whole period of two days two nights of war gaming. This is extremely good news for the crew of our newest naval service and they are now starting to understand what a fantastic submarine we have. May this high level of service continue. Bravo Zulu to the crew of KD Tunku Abdul Rahman and may they have a safe journey home.'' http://securemalaysia.blogspot.com/
