Indian Navy Commissions First P15B Destroyer INS Visakhapatnam
QuoteINS Visakhapatnam, a P15B stealth guided missile destroyer, was commissioned into the Indian Navy in the presence of Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh at the Naval Dockyard, Mumbai on November 21, 2021.
The Project 15B (P15B) / Visakhapatnam-class is the latest destroyer design currently under construction for the Indian Navy. These ships have been designed indigenously by the Indian Navy’s Directorate of Naval Design, New Delhi. Each ship spans 163 metres in length and 17.4 metres at beam and displaces 7,300 tonnes. These ships will be propelled by four gas turbines to achieve speed in excess of 30 knots.

There ware a lot going on in the Indo-Pacific region in October: Multiple CSGs operated together in the Pacific, Japan launched its second Taigei-class submarine and started sea trials of its first FFM frigate, exercise MALABAR 21 took place in the bay of Bengal, Russian and Chinese ships patrolled together in the Pacific for the first time and naval forces from Australia, Japan, UK and the US conducted a large exercise in the Indian Ocean.

US Navy Awards Raytheon Contract For Maritime Strike Tomahawk Block Va

The Tomahawk cruise missile is a precision weapon that launches from ships and submarines and can strike targets precisely from 1,000 miles away, even in heavily defended airspace. U.S. and allied militaries have flight-tested the GPS-enabled Tomahawk 550 times and used it in combat more than 2,300 times. Its most recent use came in 2018, when U.S. Navy warships and submarines launched 66 Tomahawk missiles at Syrian chemical weapon facilities.

U.S. Navy Lifts Veil On New F/A-XX Concept Design
The U.S. Navy's Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) released the first image of what the future F/A-XX carrier-based fighter aircraft could look like. The document also sheds light on the notional characteristics of the sixth-generation air superiority fighter compared to the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet it will eventually replace.

China’s Future Carrier Airwing: New Stealth Fighter And AWACS Spotted In Flight
Several pictures by local plane spotters surfaced today showing two key aircraft of the future Chinese aircraft carrier airwing in flight: The new People's Liberation Army Navy Air Force (PLANAF) twin engine stealth fighter (sometimes referred to as as J-35) and the KJ-600 airborne early warning & Control (AEW&C) plane. These two aircraft are set to fly from China's future Type 003 aircraft carrier.

Socarenam Launches First POM OPV For French Navy
French shipbuilder Socarenam launched the first ship in a new class of Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPV) for the French Navy. The "Auguste Benebig" was launched at the Socarenam shipyard in Saint Malo (Brittany) on 15 October 2021 as part of the POM (Patrouilleur d’Outre-Mer) program.

Marine Corps Successfully Demonstrates NMESIS During LSE 21
The Navy/Marine Corps Expeditionary Ship Interdiction System (NMESIS) successfully hit its target in support of Marine Corps Forces, Pacific, during Large Scale Exercise 21 Aug. 15, 2021. The exercise showcased the U.S. maritime forces’ ability to deliver lethal, integrated all-domain naval power.
