Je me dis que pour rendre ce test plus retentissant / dissuasif , le missile a peut être ciblé exprèssément la ligne de flottaison, ou a tapé verticalement et percé toute la coque.

Israeli Navy Tests Iron Dome Air Defence System at Sea from Sa’ar 5 Corvette

The Israeli Navy (Heil HaYam HaYisraeli) has taken the Iron Dome air defence system to the sea and recently completed a live test fire. The naval version of the system will be used to protect strategic assets at sea, such as oil/natural gas rigs. Israel’s hydrocarbons fields and drilling installations in the East Mediterranean Sea have increased the requirements for security.

The Norwegian Navy released footage and images showing a Skjold-class corvette launching a Naval Strike Missile (NSM) against a land target. The test took place on Monday, in Andøy is the northernmost municipality in Nordland county. It was a first for the Norwegian Navy.

The Storm corvette launched the NSM against a simulated enemy control center. The target was located right on the coast but the test demonstrates the Norwegian Navy's new capability to strike land targets (even ones located further inland) with its Skjold-class corvettes or its Nansen-class frigates thanks to the NSM by Kongsberg.

Le missile de croisière peut faire de la comparaison de terrain pendant tout son vol, et une fois sur la cible, se localiser par rapport à elle pour taper au bon endroit. il a le temps de faire ça parce qu'il vole relativement lentement.

Le missile balistique vole beaucoup plus vite donc a moins de temps pour faire les corrections. En plus pendant sa phase propulsée ascendante il n'a pas une bonne vue vers le sol, il faut qu'il se repère avec une centrale inertielle (ou au GPS mais compter dessus c'est un peu risqué).

Le JSOW C-1 (MAJ du JSOW optimisée pour la frappe antinavire infocentrée) a atteint le fameux statut IOC

Visiblement, le positionnement de ce missile n'est pas contre les cibles HVA très protégées ... mais je suis quand même curieux sur la mention d'une liaison de données L16 bidirectionnelle.
Au moindre brouillage, ça ne doit plus être très utile (pour l'échange d'imagerie) non ?

Aussi, je serais curieux de voir l'économie réalisée par un JSOW-ER doté du capteur du LRASM (option concurrente du LRASM et de remplacement des Tomahawk)
