Carabine M3, une version de tir nocturne de la carabine M1. La grosse lunette convertit le proche infrarouge (pas thermique) en lumière visible. L'espèce de disque est un projecteur infrarouge qui sert à "éclairer" la cible.

Super rare version of the M1 Carbine fitted with this second generation "night vision" scope (Korean vintage) - originally used in World War II theaters of war such as Okinawa where it was employed during the night at listening posts/outposts to snipe at Japs pushing at the perimeters - this unit was used in the Korean conflict. The M3 Infrared 20,000 volt unit is in excellent condition and has all of the accessories: The infrared scope unit with light-source screen, the vertical front grip with trigger to activate the sniperscope, the various cables that lead down to the battery pack and front trigger, battery pack with cover, metal military carry case with compartments, M3 scope manual and all of the inside labels and instructions from the maker - American Optical of Buffalo, New York. The M1 Carbine is in excellent condition with an excellent bore. Inland receiver and Inland-General Motors 1943 dated barrel. Wood is excellent . Correctly marked flash-hider. I did not disassemble the Carbine because of all the attachments. One of the most desirable of World War II/Korean collectibles! A great investment! C&R OK.
